My name is Steve Wallet, and Cold Frequency is my solo project — a creative space I built in 2024 to explore the darker corners of electronic music. What started as a personal outlet has grown into a focused artistic statement rooted in Electronic Body Music, Post-Punk, and the grey twilight of Coldwave.
I have been drawn to electronic music for as long as I can remember. There is something about the interplay between mechanical precision and human emotion that pulls me in. The machines don't lie — they amplify whatever you feed them. That directness is what I chase when I work on Cold Frequency: stripped-back production that leaves nowhere to hide.
My writing process usually starts late at night. The quiet helps. I tend to build atmospheres before I build tracks — a synth texture, a pulse, a mood that I can inhabit for a while. The rhythm comes next, and eventually the vocals, usually restrained and half-buried in reverb, the way they feel most honest.
The debut EP Fading Echoes was released in December 2025. It is two tracks, short and deliberate — an introduction more than a statement. There is more to come.
